A Harvard student’s commencement speech is gaining widespread attention for its powerful message on dialogue, understanding, and overcoming division. Drawing on the remarkable story of his family—a Pakistani Muslim grandfather and a Jewish Holocaust survivor—the speaker argues that today’s culture often forces people into opposing camps instead of encouraging meaningful conversation. He challenges graduates and viewers alike to reject binary thinking, seek understanding rather than victory, and remember the humanity of those with different beliefs. His closing message, “Listen like you might be wrong,” has resonated across social media, fueling discussions about political polarization, free speech, and the future of public discourse amid the broader debate surrounding Harvard and national politics.

🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹my mom a actually has a connection to Harvard medical school to sone extent. My Freshman year in high school was on the east coast due to that. I hated it there. It as only one year. Moved back to the northwest again after that. But, it was better than being with the grandparents alone like I was for eighth grade in that school that messed with my personal astrology plus while he is my favorite late grandpa Don, his alcoholism was really bad during that time around me and yelling at me about school stuff especially math. She does have some medical publications as well but, that’s the only detail I’ll go into for safety sake. 🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿I actually do just about have an associates degree. (Community college) It’s the sciences that is the block there. She’s actually prepping for retirement on her own terms this time and not due to the stroke. This will be by next sumner. I need to ask her about the connection to Harvard exactly. I’m pretty sure it’s why it was that area specifically otherwise she wouldn’t have made the move so far with the grandparents still around. ✡️🧿✡️🧿✡️✡️🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿🧿
