Concocting some soap for the shop today. I need to rebatch that Marie Laveau birthday goats milk soap but it was a first milk soap attempt so stuff like this is to be expected. It’ll be good though and still delightful . It turned out a bit greasy is all. So, making necessary shifts to that in the rebatch. It’s a common thing to experience with goat milk soap. Especially first batches. I’ll get to that this week at some point but it shouldn’t affect cure time much. am also going to be making some unscented Castile soap good for facial stuff. Aloe in the water phase as well as sweet almond oil and extra virgin olive oil. Unscented and no color at all. I will leave out the stuff that makes it white so it’ll take a bit longer to curd (six weeks or so. As a guesstimate.) Just thinking out loud a bit. And yes, the site theme should be shifting tonight at some point. Looking up some stuff on technical stuff about completing it though. I am deciding against tallow for the soap. Primarily due to looking at profitability of it currently as well as personal stuff I have been more mindful about this sort of thing primarily about the source of the tallow as well as other specs.
